Deep ruby color of excellent intensity. Intense aroma with ripe red and black fruits, spices such as pepper, hints of shrubs and olive paste, and a subtle mineral touch that adds complexity. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with firm, high-quality tannins, balanced acidity, red fruit and spice notes, finishing with an extremely long and concentrated finish.

            Integrated Production Method

All the grapes used in this wine were produced in accordance with the Sustainable Agriculture Integrated Production guidelines as defined by the International Organisation for Biological and Integrated Control (OILB/IOBC): www.iobc-wprs.org. The rigorous compliance with these practices is certified by an independent organisation, recognized by the Portuguese State.

            Winemaking

Grapes from the finest parcels of Quinta do Seixo and Quinta do Vau were fermented at the Quinta do Seixo winery using the traditional Port Wine method, in granite lagares with foot treading. This ancestral process allows the grapes to release their components and naturally express the aromas of the variety and the terroir.

            Maturation

After the harvest, the wines remain in the Douro until the following spring, when they are transported to the cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, where they age in oak vats. During this period, they undergo rackings, analyses, and tastings, allowing their development to be closely monitored. The final blend results from a rigorous selection process in pursuit of the highest quality.
